Valera Screens is committed to helping create a digital classroom experience that inspires students to be more engaged, creative, inquisitive and collaborative. We believe that these are important qualities that will be key to their future endeavors both personally and in the digital workplace.
The use of mobile technology in schools is already proving to be of great benefit as learning, communication, and research tools. Through its Unleashing Classrooms program, Valera Screens is looking to empower young digital creators by providing K12 classrooms with its Green Screen technologies and tools. We are excited for students to expand the possibilities of their video projects by being able to add special effects and backgrounds, which in the past could only be done by the Hollywood studios.
The Unleashing Classrooms program provides schools with free green screens. Every month, a classroom will be selected and awarded a Creator and Explorer series green screen. Our hope is to inspire teachers to create exciting lesson plans incorporating video based student assignments. While the Valera green screens can be used in the classroom, we hope that teachers will also loan them out to students so that they can make marvelous creations at home as well.

Rules & Eligibility
Who is eligible for an award?
Education professionals who are at least 18 years old and employed by an accredited K-12 public, private or charter school in the United States that maintains a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1) tax-exempt status are eligible to apply.

How are award recipients selected?
The Unleashing Creators program is managed and administered entirely by Valera Screens. The company will evaluate applications and make award decisions based on the following criteria:
Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted online via this website. Applications received in a given month will be considered for an award to be given in the following month only. No emailed or hard copy paper applications will be accepted. All applicant submissions become property of Valera Screens and will not be returned. By submitting an application, applicants agree to provide other information and documentation as may be reasonably requested by the judging committee at Valera Screens.
Award Notification
Those receiving awards will be notified by e-mail and must respond within 14 days. Recipients who fail to respond in 14 days will forfeit their award and a new recipient will be selected. Recipients must follow instructions to verify their application information and sign a publicity release form. Any tax liability is the responsibility of the school.
Additional Terms
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. By participating, entrants agree: a) to the Rules and decisions of Valera Screens, which shall be final in all respects; b) where legal, to the use of their names and/or likeness for advertising, promotional and publicity purposes without written consent or compensation; and c) to release, discharge and hold harmless Valera Screens. from damages or claims arising out of their participation in the Unleashing Classrooms program or use of the awarded products.
All rights, title and interest, including copyrights of information submitted as part of the application, belong to Valera Screens.
Award Restrictions
No substitutions or transfers permitted. Recipients may receive an award only once in a given school year. Valera Screens reserves the right to interpret these rules and to make decisions concerning the award, its acceptance and use, in situations not covered by these rules.
